The Fossil Set was the second expansion of the Bae Set. This set was also released in 1999 and made up 62 cards. Popular fossilized Pokémon like Aerodactyl, Kabutops, and Omastar were a part of it, and alongside them, fan favourites like Dragonite and Gengar. Fossil was a definitive set focusing on Pokémon with much older lore that somehow gave the Pokémon universe an intriguing depth. The set has both holofoil and non-holofoil versions of the rare cards. Being of unique theme and containing introductions to iconic Pokémon, the Fossil Set became very much in demand by collectors and will be key to any serious Pokémon card collection.
