Jungle Set (1999)
Release Date: 16th June 1999
The first expansion, the Jungle Set, which came out 5 months after the original Base Set in 1999, added 64 cards. The set brought in fan favourites like Eevee, Snorlax, and Scyther to expand the world of Pokémon cards beyond the original release. The Jungle Set is also made up of holofoil versions and non-holo versions of rare cards, making it very desirable for collectors. With exciting artwork and the debut of some real Pokémon celebrities, the Jungle Set continues to be an important and valuable cornerstone for collectors and investors alike, with rarity for each card being determined from this set.
